I’m the Vice President at the Amherst Shelter. I’ve been with the shelter for 17 years wearing a second hat as the Rescue Coordinator. I’ve always been a big fan of teamwork. It takes effort to help the homeless animals in our surrounding counties. Any organization or group that goes above and beyond to help our community with helping place animals in ideal homes and educating the public is dear to my heart. I have my hands full volunteering at our shelter but my motto is “Pay It Forward”.
CVRR has excellent leadership and a huge group of devoted foster homes & volunteers. I wanted to be part of that. Working along side such a committed group of animal lovers inspires me and warms my heart. Their dedication is second to none. I don’t do nearly my part with CVRR but when I see an opportunity to help I join in without hesitation. I am proud to be part of such a committed animal rescue group. Rescue, rehome, repeat. Until there are none, adopt or rescue one.I have 2 senior dogs and 7 cats. All of my animals have been adopted through a shelter or rescued after becoming homeless. In my spare time I love to get away to the beach to recharge. We all need to help those with no voice and CVRR proves daily that they are a huge asset and advocates for animal welfare. They help with special needs and harder to place animals, not just the “easy” animals and that is why I volunteer with CVRR !
