Once upon a time there was a foster dog coordinator… We will call her Laura… Just for fun. She had two single, good natured animal lovers that fostered dogs for her. They didn’t know each other well… Just occasionally bumped elbows at adoption events. But Laura noticed Robbie’s gaze linger a little on Joy, and her cheeks blush a little when she mentioned Robbie…. So Laura… Being the nosey intrusive foster coordinator she is, decided to play a little match maker. The picture with the puppies was from their “set up”.
I told them I was too busy to photograph a litter of puppies That were in my care, and asked them to team up on the project.
As the story unfolds… Boy takes pictures with girl… Girl falls in love with boy, boy buys ring for girl…. He proposed by handing her a foster puppy who had a ring tied around her neck. I hid around the corner so I could photograph her reaction… Spoiler… She said yes 😉
Robbie and Joy aren’t just “my foster homes” they are my friends. So naturally I was all to happy to take their engagement photos. The following picture is of their wedding day. (Which I missed because I was quite pregnant at the time and the ceremony was in florida).
Today I was blessed again to be able to capture a hallmark moment in their life as they announce to the world that in August, a tiny new CVR Rescue volunteer will be born.
Congratulations Robbie and Joy!!!
